Which are the top five states of India whose main occupation is agriculture . What is their yearly income from agriculture

India is a big country.70 percent of our population is occupied in agriculture.The agriculture consist of major part in our national income.The main states of India that are engaged in farming are Punjab,Haryana,Taminadu,Kerela,
Jammu.We both import and export our agricultural products.Now we even import the new kind of tractors and other products that would help in improving our farming techniques.

  • Assam: about 70% of people of assam are involved in agriculture as their occupation. crops such as tea, the highest amout of tea is cultivated in assam.
  • West bengal: crops such as rice, vegetables are grown in WB. The highest amount of rice is produce in WB.
  • Uttar pradesh: crops such as wheat, sugarcane, rice and pulses are grown in UP.
  • Karnatka: sugarcane, cotton,cofee are highly cultivated in Karntaka.
  • Madhya pradesh: wheat and pulses are grown in high rate in MP.
