Hope it helps...!!!!
-------------------------
There are three types of plate movements:-
1) Folding- Plates come close to each other and form a convergent boundary.
2) Faulting- Plates go away or tilt away from each other and form a divergent boundary.
3) Rubbing- Plates rub past each other and form a transform boundary.

◆◆◆◆◆ PLATES ◆◆◆◆◆
LOCATION : Plates are the inner constituents of the Earth. They are generally in the layer of the Earth's crust.
TYPES : Plates are of two types , namely convergent and divergent plate. Similarly, the plate boundaries are also classified as --- Convergent plate boundaries and divergent plate boundaries.
PLATE MOVEMENTS : The movements of the Earth's plates is the cause of an Earthquake.
TYPES :
◆ Folding : A fault line develops in the folded layers among some plates. This is due to compressional forces. This phenomenon is known as folding.
◆ Faulting : Due to tensional forces, the internal horizontal and vertical movements develop a line of fracture called as fault line. The phenomenon is known as faulting.
● ONE MORE TYPE OF MOVEMENT ●
◆ Colliding or Collision movements : These types of movements are the causes of folding and faulting , which ultimately results in Earthquakes.7
