Infectious disease: An infectious disease is one which can infect a healthy person from an infected person.

There are five major medium through which the disease spread. They are,

• Air is present everywhere and the disease causing organism maybe suspended in air and infects a healthy person.
• Direct contact or indirect contact with the infected person can transmit the disease
• Through the objects of the infected person.
• Through sexual contact.
• Through saliva, urine or body secretions.

A non-infectious disease or NCD is a disease that is chronic and last for a long time. They are not caused by any infectious agents.  

Infectious agents: Infectious agents are those which are responsible for transmitting the disease from one person to another by physical means.

These diseases are hard to find a cure and are responsible for most medial deaths all over the world.

• Stroke
• Cancer
• Diabetes
• Cataract
