Studies have shown that the whole of North-Eastern India is suitable for organic farming.

Apart from that, studies show that states like Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa and Kerala also have high contents of organic carbon and can be used effectively for organic farming.

The states in the North like Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are also included in the list.
