Na is bigger than Mg.

  • In the periodic table as we move from left to right in a period the size of the atom decreases.
  • As we move from Na to Mg one extra electron is added to the valance shell so, the nucleus strongly attracts the electron and the size of the atom decreases.
  • That's why Na has a bigger size than Na.
