Na is bigger than Mg.
- In the periodic table as we move from left to right in a period the size of the atom decreases.
- As we move from Na to Mg one extra electron is added to the valance shell so, the nucleus strongly attracts the electron and the size of the atom decreases.
- That's why Na has a bigger size than Na.
