Argon is bigger as it has 8 electrons in its l and m shells..... So due to strong repulsions its size is enlarged. Neon has 8 electrons in its l shell ... So it is smaller than argon.

Ar ( argon) is bigger because when we move from up to down in a period, the no of shells increase resulting in the increase of atomic size.
