basic values incorporated in our constitution are
1)sovereign : People have the supreme power to make decisions. No external power can dictate the government in India
2)socialist : Wealth is generated socially and should be shared equally by the society
3)secular : citizens have the complete freedom to choose the religions they want. There is no official religion
4)democratic : A form of government where people enjoy political rights elect their leaders and hold them responsible
5)Republic : head of the state is an elected person and not a heridetery position 
6)Justice : No one should be discriminated on the basis of gender caste religion etc . Social inequalities have to be reduced
7) liberty : there are no unreasonable restrictions on the citizens in what they think how they wish to express their thoughts etc
8)Equality : All are equal before law.
9)Fraternity : All of us should behave as if we are the members of the same family.
