In India, and it has been continuing since ages that rich in India are more privileged. The economic structure is such that rich people are tailored to rise higher, and poor are deprived of even the most basic amenities in some places.
Wealth in India is concentrated with the rich, and therefore the profit that spills over, falls on the lap of rich. The poor just receive the leftovers.
