The flow of energy in producers can be explained this way:

- Producers require sunlight energy for the process of photosynthesis. This energy enters the chloroplast to perform the light dependent reactions of photosynthesis.

- Then move to other parts of the plant to perform other reactions in the mitochondria

- The food which is prepared by using this energy can transport to other parts of the plant up till roots.

- When this plant dies, the decomposers or secondary consumers feed on the plants- one form of energy changes to another form.

This is how energy flows in producers.
