Wind blowing in a spiral form around an area of low atmospheric pressure if called as a cyclone.  The winds which are blowing from the high atmospheric pressure areas towards the low atmospheric pressure areas are called as cyclonic winds.  The Coriolis Force which is caused by the Earth's rotation on its own axis is also responsible for cyclones.
