A book with ordinary pages will be easier to read under a table lamp.
Reasons:
1) Simple, a book with glossy pages will be difficult to read, as , due to the glossy finish, the pages will reflect the light back, causing a glint, which will make it difficult for some readers to focus on the letters.
Hope it helps

Hello Kunal!
Here's your answer:
The correct answer is Option B, i.e., it is much easier to read ordinary (un-smooth or rough) pages under a table lamp.
Reason:
Glare of surfaces occurs when light is strongly reflected into the eyes. Now, there are two types of reflection, namely, diffuse reflection and specular reflection. Under a table lamp, it is proved by many experiments that diffuse reflections occur, which, though less intense than specular reflection, is much easier to see.
The light reflected off the pages diverges, and no clear image of the light source is formed.
On the other hand, Glossy pages are covered with an oily coating (which appears shiny most of the times). This fills empty space in the paper, which creates a smooth surface. The result is specular reflection and glare is seen. This light diverges and reaches the eye, which over-excites the retina as compared to diffused reflections, hence our eyes are somewhat strained.
So, according to the Modern Physics, it is easier to read ordinary paper (with unsmooth surface) under table lamp.
HOPE MY ANSWER IS SATISFACTORY...
THANKS!
