Kedgeree--the combination of eggs, rice and haddock recipe, is the breakfast dish which was introduced during the Victorian times.

It is said the Kedgeree has its origin in India where it is called Khichri and it was introduced to United Kingdom by the British soldiers after returning from India. But some say it originated in Scotland and the Scottish soldiers introduced it in India and Britain.

Kedgeree became a popular breakfast during the Victorian Period.
