Which buddha santa buddhist hermit motivated ashoka to join buddhism?

As far as I know, Ashoka joined buddhism because of his beloved wife Kaurwaki of Kalinga. After kalinga war, Ashoka was filled with remorse, Kaurwaki told him about peacful buddhist practices and so he followed buddhism.
