Cellulose is the carbohydrate which can be digested by ruminants but not by humans.

This is because ruminants have an organ called caecum which contains the bacteria e. coli which helps to digest cellulose.

But humans do not have that organ ceacum due to which they cannot digest cellulose.

carbohydrates like grass which has cellulose can be digested by ruminants due to presence of cellulase enzyme in them. humans do not have this enzyme ,so we cannot digest cellulose.
