Answer:

c. Cells of testes

Explanation:

  • Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) is one of the most important organelles of the cell. It provides a framework for the cell. It is also connected to the nucleus at one end.
  • ER is of two types: Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum and Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum. RER contains ribosomes on it, so they are called RER. They are mostly involved in protein synthesis.
  • The Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum forms the center of metabolic activity for the cell. It helps in the metabolism of carbohydrates and other functions like lipid synthesis, cholesterol, steroid synthesis, and detoxification. It has a major role in liver cells.
  • Cells of testes perform steroid and hormone secretion, therefore, a good amount of SER is present in it. The skin cells also have a decent number of SER.
