Thus, ending the "period of ancient India" and the beginning of a period in which the rulers focused on themselves only. The "medieval period" in India is divided into two parts- the "early medieval period" and the "late medieval period". Some of the prominent dynasties of the medieval period are the "Chalukyas, the Pallavas, the Palas, the Cholas and the Mughals". These dynasties ruled in the given order.
