she could have told bassanio about the right casket and even yearns to do so. but she does not betray the tes imposed by her dead father, and according to his will.
she is determined to carry out its term. she has faith in her father's wisdom

she love bassanio so deeply that she sends speechless message of love to him. when bassanio chooses the correct casket she is overwhelmed with joy. her faminine nature is best seen in her absolute self surrender to him. she wishes she hsd more of everything to give bassanio.
My favourite character from the play The Merchant of Venice would be Shylock because he is a very complex character and is multi layered character.
