Solids and liquids share a common characteristic ie they both have definite volume .
However solids have a definite shape too whereas liquids take the shape of the container in which they are kept ...

There are many physical states of the matters present in our earth.

Each physical state has some unique and some common features in comparison with the other physical states.

Similarly,the soild and liquid both state has a certain amount of mass which is constant.

But,the liquid can take form of it's container,it doesn't have any proper shape,but the solid objects a definite shape and form.
