They still have flagellated sperm. The sperm are larger & multiflagellate to swim to the archegonia. 
No branching - no compression wood to support long branches so they don't sag. 
Large frond-like pinnate leaves. Pinnate compound leaves from a midline rachis to support the leaf blade. 
Leaves develop from apical growth.

Cycads differ in size from having stems only a few centimeters to meters tall. They are hard to be going for a very long period of time and some of them can leave of 1000 years of age.
