Hy there,
When the nerve impulse reaches the nerve ending, a chemical called Acetylcholine is released. Then, information is transferred ti next neuron. We all know it by the name of synapse. If Acetylcholine isn't secreted, then contraction of muscle will not occur. Many diseases like myasthenia gravis occurs due to auto immune antibodies against acetylcholine.
