Option 3 - Calcium Carbide (CaC₂) is the chemical used to make the fruits and vegetables look attractive and ripened.

Calcium Carbide, popularly known as ‘Masala” is the most commonly used chemical for artificial ripening. It is a carcinogenic substance that is banned under PFA Rules, 1955 and also under Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011 made thereunder.

Unsaturated hydrocarbons such as acetylene, ethylene etc. can promote ripening and induce colour changes effectively. Also, Ethephon and oxytocin are reportedly being used in fruit and vegetable markets and farms for artificial ripening of fruits and for increasing the size of fruits and vegetables respectively.

"Calcium carbide" is used for attraction as well as ripening of fruits.
This is largely used chemical for the ripening as it result in the production of acetylene gas which act as the ethylene gas and hence result in the ripening of fruits as happens naturally.
But there are many health issues rises due to this chemical use and even banned is some countries .This chemical use lead to the carcinogens .

Hope this will helps you.
