The correct answer is option D - A Hickory tree.

An organism is defined as "An individual form of life, such as a plant, an animal, a bacterium, a protist, or a fungus; a body made up of organs, organelles, or other parts that work together to carry on the various processes of life."

From the given options, the stripes on a tiger is not a living being but is a pattern. A beehive is a place. An apple seed is not a purely living thing either unless it is taken care of to grow into a sapling. The only living thing that can be considered as an organism is the tree i.e the Hickory tree.

The answer of your question is " A hickory tree" which is option D
This is because an organism is any individual things which contain the properties of a life  just like a lion is organism and a bacteria is also the organism.
The beehive is a place not a living thing , the  stripes on a tiger is also not a living thing.
In case of apple seed it is also not a fully organism unless it developed to proper plant.
So a tree here exhibit the life and that's why it's the only living thing here.
