Recently there is a trend of using stencils for wall paintings, like acrylic or any other specially made colours that you can consult from a home colour & paint shop. Stencils can be used in any surface from wall to furniture, but regarding the paint type, you have to sure about the particular colour matches which matches the surface. The base (wall) should be well primed (for example you can use acrylic base paints in stencils in any surface, but you cannot paint oil based (oil colours) in any surface, it should be oil or acrylic primed well without dampness.
