Litmus is red with acids and blue with bases. Hydrogen isn't acidic or basic and that is what is being released from the reaction. So no color change. But that hydrogen bubbling is going to facilitate water and HCl vaporizing.

if HCL which is an acid react with red litmus paper then there is no no any change take place because acidhas the property to change blue litmus to red and red litmus become red only.
hence we will see red colour only.
no colour change will takes place but something to temperature will take place with HCl.
