* The petroleum gas which has been liquified under pressure is called LPG.
* In domestic cylinders a strong smelling substance called ethyl mercaptan (C2H5SH) is added to help in the detection of gas leakage as it is a colourless and odourless gas.
* It is most essential to observe certain precautions while using LPG, as it catches fire easily.
