Given:

1 gram of Butene, 1 gram of dinitrogen, 1 gram of Na and 1 gram of water

To Find:

Which of these contains more atoms

Solution:

The formula for Butane is C4H10 and the atom numbers in the compound are 14.

The molar mass is 58. Thus,

Number of moles = 1/58 = 0.0172

Number of Molecules = 6.023×10 ` 23  × moles

= 6.023 × 10`23  × 0.0172

= 1.038 × 10`22

Total number of atoms = number of atoma in compound × number.of molecules

= 14 × 1.038 × 10`22

= 1.453 × 10`23  in Butane

Answer: Among the given options 1 gram of butene consists of maximum atoms.
