The water, even though they are at same temperature 1 kg of ice will absorb a specific amount of heat called specific latent heat to transform from ice to water. So the heat of water will be equal to heat of 1kg of ice plus the specific latent heat of melting.

ice and water are the same. and 0o is also a number for heat.
