Antarctica has the least number of federal governments.

  • There are only about 20 federal governments such as USA, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Russia etc.
  • Asia being the largest continent consists of around 54 countries which have different forms of government.
  • For example - There is a unitary form of government for China and Sri Lanka. Both the countries are the part of Asia Pacific. Whereas, only three countries in Asia have federal government which are India, Nepal and Bangladesh.
  • In Antarctica, however, seven sovereign states have made eight territorial assertions, although they are not federal governments.
