• The word democracy describes a political system.  In a democratic country, all eligible citizens have the right to participate, either directly or indirectly, in making the decisions that affect them.

But this type of democracy can only be practiced in a country with small population such as Athens and Switzerland. • A presidential system is a democratic and republican government in which a head of government leads an executive branch that is separate from the legislative branch. Such dismissal is possible, however, in uncommon cases, often through impeachment.
