Japan’s products are mainly on a high-end, while ours are from low-end to high -end, but most are on middle-end. So we need to keep investing more on R&D to improve our tech, science and marketing. I hope a 3% of GDP invested in R&D instead of today’s 2.5%.

So yes, the fact is Japan is still more developed than China in many aspects, but we are optimistic about the future. Because China is progressing fast,

we are catching up and we are already more developed than Japan in many fields: drone (DJI), Internet industry (Alibaba, Tencent, Tiktok), Cellphone (Huawei, Oneplus, Xiaomi), Television (TCL), home appliances (Haier), supercomputers, PC (Lenovo), space tech, High Speed railway (29000km), nuclear tech, 5th Gen Fighting Jet etc.

And back in the 90s, China’s gdp per capita was only 1/120 of Japan’s , yes, 1/120, but now it is 1/3 of Japan’s.
