which cpu is faster 2.66 ghz or 1.89 mhz and why?

If you are considering the CPU from the same manufacturer and same generation and similar architecture then in every aspect the 2.2 Ghz will be better than the 1.8 Ghz. If the number of cores are different then the 2.2 Ghz will prevail in single core tasks even if the 1.8 Ghz has more cores.
