Sir John Berry Hobbs was one of the greatest batsmen to ever born in the history of cricket. His flawless batting, spontaneous and originality in shot making gave him the title of "The Master". He was a county cricketer, played for Surrey from 1905 to 1934, and represented England in more than 60 Test matches.
In his career of First Class Cricket, which spanned nearly 30 years, he played 834 matches and scored 61,760 runs with astonishing figure of 199 centuries. He is still holding the title for the most runs and the most number of centuries in FC.
