On the basis of presents or absent of flower it divided into two types of plant

Flowering plant or Phenerogames
Non flowering plant or Cryptogames
Phenerogames include only Flowering plant where cryptogames include only Non -flowering plant .

In phenerogames include Division like Angiosperm in which all the plant having presents of flowers as reproductive structure .

In cryptogames include all non flowering plants like Gymnosperm , Bryophyte ect.

In division angiosperm plant are divided into 2 class Dicotyledone or Dicot and Monocotyledone or Monocot on basis of presents of number of cotyledons .

The criteria for classification of plants is they are seed bearing or not, they bear flowers or not, if they are seed bearing the seed is covered or not, then the seed is dicot or monocots
