▪The basic criteria of classification of plants is number of cotyledons i.e. plants are classified on the basis of number of cotyledons.
There are two cotyledons. They are as follows.⬇️
1⃣ Monocotyledon.
They have only one cotyledon and other is called scutellum.
2⃣ Dicotyledon.
They have two contyledons.
