Akshay Urja Din or Akshay Urja Diwas is celebrated each year on August 20 since 2004 in India.
This awareness crusade was started by the Indian Ministry of New and Renewable Energy Sources. The crusade goes for raising a mindfulness among Indians about the advancement made with respect to a sustainable power source.
The project was propelled in New Delhi in 2004. The crusade was held one year from now too in a similar city. In the following three years, the battle occurred in the urban areas of Nagpur, Hyderabad, and Panchkula (Haryana) separately.
