Iltutmish was a prominent ruler of the Ghulam dynasty in Delhi Sultanate. Qutbuddin Aibak had bought him as a slave during the invasion of Gujarat in 1197 AD.
He was very influenced by his ability and thus made him the monarch. Iltutmish ruled from 1210 AD to 1236 CE. He had four children Nasiruddin Mahmud, Ruknuddin Feroz, Razia Sultan and Muddaddin Bahram.
