Cholecystokinin is a digestive hormone which inhibits gastric acid secretion and gastric motility. It is secreted from the duodenum and protects duodenum from the chyme (the pulpy acidic fluid which passes from the stomach to the small intestine, consisting of gastric juices and partly digested food.)
