Given :  A number line with L , M & N . Brook states that the distance on the line is 4 units. Caleb states that the whole line does not have a distance because it continues on forever. Vivian states that the line is 6 units long.

To Find : Which distance did Brook measure

Solution:

L is - 6

M is  - 2

N is  4

Distance between LM  =  - 2-(-6)  = 4

Distance between MN  = 4 - (-2) = 6

Distance between LN  = 4 - (-6)  = 10

Brook states that the distance on the line is 4 units.

LM = 4

Hence Brook measured distance between L & M
