which do you think is a more basic characteristic for classifying organisms the place where they live the kind of cell they are made of why

The kind of cells they are made of i.e. prokaryotic or eukaryoric is more basic criteria since in a particular place we can find prokaryotic organisms like bacteria as well as eukaryotic organisms like fungi,plants but we can't place bacteria along with plants or fungi but we can definitely  place fungi and plants together in the group of eukaryotic organisms and bacteria in prokaryotic group based on their cell type.
