We know that electrotyping is a chemical method used to produce a metal copy of any object. From the following explanation, you can understand the use of electricity i.e. electrolysis in electrotyping.

The process of electrotyping include the forming from the model a soft material mold and coating its surface with a thin layer of graphite powder to make it electrically conductive. Here, the mold, acts as a cathode. It is immersed in an electrolyte solution and a wire is connected to the electrical source and to the metal anode which is also immersed in the solution. Now, the electrical current dissolves the metal atoms of the anode which enter in the electrolyte as ions taken up by the conducting surface of the mold. The circuit is closed when the metal layer on the mold reaches the requested thickness.

Answer . We provide electricity to fan then then electrical energy is converted into mechanical or rotating energy due magnetic effect of electricity produced by coils inside fan .
