tungsten

It contains a thin coil of wire called the filament. This heats up when an electric current passes through it and produces light as a result. Incandescent light bulbs have filaments which are made mainly from the element tungsten, the metal element used for the filaments in incandescent light bulbs.

Hey mate!

Here's your answer!

Presently, tungsten alloyed with potassium, silicon, and aluminium oxide is used in most incandescent lamps. Before 1910, other materials preceded its use, such as non-alloy tungsten, carbon, graphite, tantalum, platinum, and osmium. Incandescent lamps currently being developed may have filaments coated with a specialized photonic crystalline material that will recycle otherwise-wasted infrared energy into visible light, increasing their efficiency beyond that of other lamps using fluorescent and light-emitting diode technology.

Hope it helps :)
