Solar lamp mainly operates on electricity from batteries which are charged by using Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) panel, which is able to collect solar energy.
Solar PV cells converts sunlight (protons) directly into electricity (voltage). When the sunlight hits the PV cells, electrons are released and this later forms an electric current.
Solar lamps are environment friendly because it does not reduce carbon footprints which are created by kerosene and other fuel lamps.
