Both the branches of engineering have a very good scope. Of course, if you are a good engineer you can do good in any field.I suggest that whatever branch you chose, try to become very good in it.Scope is always present for an excellent engineer.

As for the difficulty level I would say that Aeronautical engineering is more difficult than Marine Engineering.

Also Marine Engineers have to spend long time away from their families in the sea and it may get a little boring/frustrating depending upon the person.Although some people chose onshore jobs so that they can be closer to home. One thing is for sure is that in marine engineering if you can work your way to a top post the money is very good.But as I said, it might not be that exciting. Depends on your priorities.
