We can obtain the solution for this equation in the following way :

x² + 18x + 32 = 0

Lets obtain the roots:

We have 2 and 8

The solution is :

x² + 2x + 8x + 32 = 0

x(x + 2) + 8(x + 2 ) = 0

(x + 2)(x + 8) = 0

x = -2 or -8

If we multiply the first equation with 2 ,we will get :

2x² + 36x + 64 = 0

This will have the same solution as the first equation .
