Given : 12y + d = -19y + t

To Find :  Which equation is correctly rewritten to solve for y?

y = -7(t - d)

y = (t + d)/(-7)

y  = 31(t - d)

y =( t-d )/ 31

Solution:

12y + d = -19y + t

Add 19y both sides

=> 12y + d + 19y  = -19y + t + 19y

=> 12y + 19y  + d = -19y + 19y + t

=> 31y + d =  t

Subtract d from both sids

=> 31y + d - d  = t - d

=> 31y  = t - d

Divide both sides by 31

=> 31y / 31 = (t - d)/31

=> y =  (t - d)/31

y =  (t - d)/31

equation is correctly rewritten to solve for y
