now the given points are

A (-5,-3) B(-2,1)

by putting values in the given formula

 \frac{ - 5 + ( - 2)}{2}  =  \frac{ - 7}{2}

and

 \frac{ - 3 + 1}{2}  =  \frac{ - 2}{2}  =  - 1
