US Christmas Bombing Campaign 1972 was the event which directly led to the end of Vietnam war.
The US forces bombed the North Vietnam under Operation Linebacker II as North Vietnam ignored the peace talks. The bombing brought North Vietnam back to peace talks and on negotiating table.
It is called Christmas Bombing Campaign as the event happened between 18-29 December 1972.
