The unfortunate assassination of the former Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi, daughter of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru by her personal body guard on “$31^{st}$ October 1984”, caused the cancellation of the third test cricket match between India and Pakistan.

During 1984-1985, Indian cricket team was in Pakistan and was playing test matches with the Pakistan cricket team. They successfully completed two test matches as it was draw as both the team scored equal runs and the third one was cancelled.
