The event of the Foundation of Indian National Congress initiated the development of political awakening in India.

National Congress was formed in 1885, and provided leadership and dominated the Indian movement for independence from  Great Britain.

It subsequently formed most of the Indian governments from the event of independence and had a strong motivator in many state governments.

All leaders of Indian with political awareness kept aside their differences in respect of caste, language, religion, province and stood on a  single platform of Indian National Congress.
