There are many components in any environment or ecosystem,and these components are mainly divided into two parts,biotic and abiotic.

Biotic component of an ecosystem refers to the all living creatures and organisms living in that ecosystem.

Similarly,among the examples mentioned in the question;

1)dolphins communicating with each other.

2) butterflies are resting on the flowers of a plant.

These above mentioned examples are biotic factors.
